PMDC - Base Software
- Full screen, menu driven, online real-time and
historical performance management software for all CA-IDMS Releases from 10.0
through 15.x Central Version.
- Fully compatible with IBM VM, DOS/VSE and
MVS/SP, XA, ESA and OS/390 operating systems.
- Designed to perform all functions with the
least possible impact on the CV run-time environment.
- Summarized individual resource data is
presented at the highest level with the option of selecting more detailed
displays that include individual Control Blocks and Storage
Addresses.
- Performance data is also presented using
graphs, charts and histograms where appropriate.
- ALERTs are generated and issued to specific
CA-IDMS-DC Destination names, Logical Terminal names or User SIGNON
identifiers. Optionally, TASKs can be automatically terminated when user
specified threshold limits have been exceeded.

PMDC External Monitor
(EXTN) - Optional
Feature
- External monitoring of the CV system even
during total lockout conditions to allow technical and support staff to
identify problems and take the appropriate action, including Task
termination.

PMDC Command Center
(CVCC) - Optional Feature
- Operates in a separate MVS-OS/390 Address
Space to collect and consolidate specific PMDC displays, ALERT conditions and
background statistics from different CVs on the same local and/or remote
machines and LPARs.
- Multiple CVs can each be interrogated from a
single screen.
- Critical performance indicators for all CVs
can be collected automatically and assessed using a single "Command-Center"
display.

PMDC Logging - Optional Feature
- CV Event, Interval, Alert Messages and Logging
statistics are captured to SMF (MVS only) or VSAM ESDS datasets for integration
with other SMF data management and reporting systems such as MXG©, CA-MICS
or SAS©.
- Over 70 standard reports are provided for the
SAS© user. All the required PMDC SAS reporting macros are
included.
- A User Exit is provided for collecting and
recording information specific to a user's requirement.
- MXG© style components, Output Exit macros
and complete documentation are included for incorporating the captured data
into the MXG© system.

PMDC MICS - Optional Feature
- Includes formatting, installation generated
documentation and an accounting component that are required to integrate the
captured statistical data into a standard CA-MICS database.

PMDC UCDC

- CV image capture facility that can be
